Cristiano Ronaldo lit up a rather forgettable night of World Cup qualifiers with a hat-trick. However, it was his acrobatic miss that will really take your breath away.

SOCCER: England drew 1-1 with Hungary in their 2022 World Cup qualifier last night.

It proved to be a quiet evening on the field as Gareth Southgate's men put on a pedestrian display. Nevertheless, the media can always count on the Hungarian supporters giving them a few talking points.

SOCCER: Meanwhile, Albania's game with Poland was stopped for half-an-hour after the home fans began throwing bottles and other objects at the Poles following their second-half goal.

Here's the full inventory of things found on the pitch after the final whistle.
SOCCER: It's not often a post-match interview is cut short after a bottle is thrown from the stands.

SOCCER: While the likes of Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski endured disappointing performances, Cristiano Ronaldo was having a blinder against Luxembourg.

The Manchester United forward scored his 10th international hat-trick, his 58th career hat-trick, and extended his international goalscoring record to 115.

Despite all that, this is still his most spectacular contribution of the evening. Make no bones about it, this is a 36-year-old man, living in a body of a 26-year-old.

SOCCER: Scotland had their own hero in Lyndon Dykes who saved the team from an embarrassing draw away at the Faroe Islands.

Listen to the sheer relief from the commentators…

TENNIS: Never change Andy. Never change.

BOXING: Would you take one of Canelo's power punches for a million dollars?
