Bayern Munich unlikely to sign Chelsea's Mason Mount due to financial constraints
With the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as the new head coach of Bayern Munich, several Chelsea players have been linked with a move to the Bundesliga club.
Among them is Mason Mount, who has been strongly linked with a move to Bavaria. However, it seems unlikely that Bayern will make a move for the England midfielder due to financial constraints and an already well-stocked midfield.
Bayern will face competition from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Juventus for Mount.
However, it seems unlikely that Bayern will be able to afford the transfer fee that Chelsea is reportedly seeking for the player.
The Blues are hoping to get £50million for Mount in the summer, despite his contract expiring at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Bayern have already strengthened their midfield department for next season by reportedly completing a deal for Konrad Laimer, who will join on a free transfer once his contract at RB Leipzig expires in June.
Tuchel will also have the decision to make on Marcel Sabitzer when he returns from his loan spell at Manchester United.
It is important to note that Chelsea also remain hopeful about agreeing to a new deal with Mount.
They will have to reluctantly sell him if there is no agreement for a new deal before the end of the season.
It remains to be seen where Mount will end up next season, but it seems unlikely that it will be at Bayern Munich.
