  • Strictly Unlikely To End With ‘Duff Duff’ Moment As Rose Ayling Ellis Remains Firm Favourite

Strictly unlikely to end with ‘duff duff’ moment as Rose Ayling-Ellis remains firm favourite

EastEnders star appears to have the Glitterball sewn up as attention switches to who will be the top male.

The destination of the Glitterball Trophy now looks a foregone conclusion, with Rose Ayling-Ellis now a heavy odds-on favourite to win the 2021 edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

Alongside professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice, she stunned audiences last weekend with a Couple's Choice dance which included an emotional but uplifting nod to the deaf community.

With that in mind, we're now looking towards the male competitors and just who will come out as the 'Top Male' when this year's competition reaches its conclusion.

John Whaite

This former Great British Bake Off champ has whipped up a storm, making history as part of the show's first male same-sex couple and is a constant feature near the head of the leaderboard. Second favourite to win the competition - but still some way behind Ayling-Ellis - he's 2/5 to finish as the leading male.

Tom Fletcher

This McFly singer would love to emulate the success of his bandmate Harry Judd, who won Strictly back in 2011. He's struggling with some of the technical aspects as the standard hots up but he may be able to pick up enough votes to make it to the final and become the last man standing.

He's currently enjoying odds of 7/2 to do so, which owe more to McFly's huge fanbase than his dancing skills.

Rhys Stephenson

Despite landing in the bottom two a few weeks back, Stephenson has really bounced back into contention and avoided being a part of the dance-off ever since.
Odds of 10/1 still mark him out as an outsider. However, after a perfect 40 for his highly-watchable Charleston last weekend, he cannot be written off.

Dan Walker

Let's face it, Dan is now the least-skilled celeb dancer in the competition but, the Strictly audience sure do love a trier. The news and sport anchor reminds voters that the show is all about those who have never stepped on a dancefloor giving it their all. And to this point, it's been a message that has cut through and kept him out of the dance-off.

Sitting at 12/1 to be this year's top male, it would be headline news if he managed to go all the way.
