Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois

Two years on from their controversial clash in Poland, Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois meet again, with the undisputed heavyweight title on the line.

Body punch or low blow? This was the question on everyone’s lips when Dubois seemingly dropped his Ukrainian rival during their first meeting in 2023.

Usyk rose off the canvas and went on to stop the Brit by TKO in the ninth-round, with many going on to accuse Dubois of giving up.

Since that famous night in Wroclaw, a lot has changed. Usyk, for instance, went on to defeat Tyson Fury in order to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era.

The Ukrainian went on to vacate one of those belts – the IBF crown – which was swiftly given to Dubois.

The Brit underlined his newly awarded world champion status by knocking out Anthony Joshua in spectacular fashion at Wembley Stadium last September.

With Usyk getting the better of Fury and Dubois taking care of business against Joshua, the two men are not only preparing to settle their beef, but they are battling for the position of king in the heavyweight division.

Wembley stadium is once again the venue as both men look to put on a show in one of the most anticipated fights of the summer.

Here, we take a closer look at the upcoming bout, run through the industry predictions and provide you with a host of betting tips.

“Over the past five years, Usyk has beaten the best. Oleksandr has very strong stamina; he’s very technical and smart.

“When I see someone with that kind of focus, I back them. That’s why I placed a big bet on his victory. Oleksandr, you do you!”

Anthony Yarde via talkSPORT

"We cannot go against Usyk. I don't care what anyone says. As much as I know Daniel, I like Daniel, based on performances, we can't go against Usyk. He's a master operator."

Martin Bakole via Daily Mirror

"I was expecting Usyk to get beat by 'The Gypsy King' but I was shocked he beat 'The Gypsy King' twice. Joshua is good, tough guy, but he doesn't know how to cut the ring. Daniel Dubois will never change, he will just keep his style, but Usyk is [better] than him and will beat him."

Tony Bellew via talkSPORT

"Usyk is the best heavyweight in the world. He's probably the best heavyweight of our era, there is no disputing it anymore. He's amazing at what he does.

"Dubois has been amazing. I've wrote him off on a number of occasions and he's come back to prove me wrong.

"You've got to give him a shot and he's in with a chance, but Usyk has already made him quit once so can he make him do it again?”

Lennox Lewis via Queensbury Promotions

“I’m thinking he’s ready. He’s been through the trials and tribulations. He’s the king slayer. He’s got the power. He’s been there before. He was just there, he knocked [Usyk] down, so he knows what he needs to do.

“It would be great for him to do it, another man for Great Britain. It’s not an easy task, but he’s definitely the man that can go through with it. He’s done the work. He’s gone through the pedigree. He’s a certified champion and I think he has big hopes on doing it. He’s going to do it.”

The Dubois that Usyk will face on Saturday is almost an entirely different man to the one he faced back in 2023.

Not only has the Brit stopped Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and, of course, Anthony Joshua since his last meeting with the Ukrainian, but he appears to have developed an entirely new personality – one that lacks fear and exudes confidence.

Despite this, Usyk is still the man to back on Saturday. While Dubois certainly carries enough power to get the job done, the incredible skills, stamina and speed of Usyk should get him over the line.
