Cazoo World Snooker Championship, April 20th-May 6th

The World Snooker Championship returns to Sheffield’s Crucible for the 48th consecutive year, and is a fantastic choice for people who want the glamour of a major sporting event without too much noise and chaos. 

Snooker is a fantastic relaxed choice for a sport to watch, with the crowd discouraged from making too much noise while the players are trying to concentrate.

Attendees will watch the defending champion Luca Brecel attempt to win back-to-back championships, but he will have a tough time doing so with a crowded field of snooker talent waiting in the wings.

Seven-time champion Ronnie O’Sullivan is always a threat, and so is Mark Selby, the man Brecel beat last year in the finals.

 

FA Cup Final, May 25th

One of the biggest competitions in UK football has its final scheduled for May 25th at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The competition has been extremely exciting this year, with several favourites having already been eliminated. 

Arsenal were knocked out in the third round by Liverpool, while Tottenham suffered a loss in the fourth round to overall favourites Manchester City.

UEFA Champions League Final, June 1st

Remaining on football, the Champions League final will be held in Wembley for the first time since 2013.

The international competition will have been hosted at Wembley a record eight times, and the stadium will happily welcome the teams back for a match of high-level football.

Manchester City are on a tear at the moment and are the heavy favourites to win the Champions League as well as the FA Cup.

However, they will face stiff competition from across Europe, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid hot on their heels.

 

Royal Ascot 2024 June 18th-22nd

Guests from around the world will convene at Ascot in June for one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

The horse racing will take place across seven days, giving you plenty of opportunities to attend and enjoy the high-society event.

While the races are an obvious highlight of Ascot, the event is also known for being a formal, elegant affair. Guests typically wear smart clothing, with hats being encouraged especially.

Depending on where you watch the races from, there might be a strict dress code. The Queen Anne Enclosure, for example, requires guests to wear either a suit and tie or a dress, jumpsuit or trouser suit with a hat.

 

Wimbledon Championships, July 1st-14th

Another event famed for its high-society guests, the Wimbledon tennis championships are more relaxed and much less formal while still remaining an extremely exciting sporting event.

You can enjoy champagne with strawberries and cream as you watch tennis pros from all over the globe for one of the most prestigious prizes in the sport.

All eyes will be on Carlos Alcaraz this year, as the 20-year-old phenom won Wimbledon last year after also taking home the prize at the 2022 US Open. However, hot on his heels will be veteran Novak Djokovic.

Formula 1 British Grand Prix July 4th-7th

Fans of motorsports will be sure to pay attention to the British Grand Prix this year, and will get tickets to watch it at Silverstone. The event looks set to be an exciting one, with no clear favourites at this stage.

Fans will be looking for seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton to make a return to form, but Lando Norris could be set to clinch his first victory as well.
