Verdict

With eight games to go, Huddersfield Giants would need somewhat of a miracle to make the play-offs.

However, considering the unpredictable nature of this Super League season, we simply can't rule it out.

Ian Watson's men seem to have shaken off their horrid run of form and enter Thursday's encounter with back-to-back wins under their belt.
One of those wins came away against the near-indomitable Catalans Dragons as Huddersfield pulled off a 22-14 raid in Perpignan.
The Giants backed that result up by beating Wakefield Trinity 34-6 in what many anticipated to be a banana skin tie.
Hull FC are also entering Thursday's match with a couple of wins to their name.
Tony Smith's men are one place above Huddersfield in the table, though they have a far bigger chance of making the play-off considering they're just a couple of points away from sixth placed Hull KR.
Recent wins over the Robins and Castleford Tigers have thrust the Black and Whites into play-off contention, though keeping up the momentum away in Huddersfield will be vital.
While Hull FC have a superior head-to-head record - with six wins from their last nine head-to-heads - our recommendation is to stick with the hosts.

Huddersfield have picked up the majority of their Super League points at home, with powerhouses Leigh, St Helens, Wigan and Warrington being the only ones to pick up victories at the John Smith's Stadium.
