Premier League Darts tips, predictions and best bets: Luke Humphries eyes Night 2 glory in Glasgow

Cool Hand Luke powered to victory on Night 1 in Belfast as he picked up victories over Nathan Aspinall and Michael van Gerwen before smashing Chris Dobey in the final.

Humphries arrives in Scotland with serious form under his belt and will be the man to beat as seven other players target the £10,000 weekly winner bonus.

Stopping Humphries from wining a second Premier League night will be a tough task for the seven other contenders.

The Englishman has hit a rich vein of form, claiming the World Masters, the first Premier League night and he even reached the semi-final in the Monday’s Players Championship event.

Humphries has won three of his last four games against Chris Dobey – including a smashing 6-1 win last week in Belfast.

Should the former world champion progress, he’ll remain the big favourite when he takes on either Nathan Aspinall or Gerwyn Price.

The Welshman was in fine form as he claimed the Players Championship 2 title last Tuesday, but turning on the style in the Premier League is a whole different ball game.

Price was well beaten by Dobey in Belfast and is on the lookout for his first match win of the season.

On the other side of the draw, Luke Littler will go head-to-head with Rob Cross. The defending Premier League champion was dumped out by Michael van Gerwen in Belfast and faces another tough test in Cross, who won the Players Championship 1 title on Monday.

Michael van Gerwen and Stephen Bunting go head-to-head in the other early match-up as the two popular men look to make an impact.
