Michael van Gerwen

After being bang on with our Premier League predictions last week we travel to Aberdeen for Night 15 with a spring in our step looking to bag some more winning tips on Thursday, May 15.

For someone with such a great record in the Premier League, Michael van Gerwen is having a miserable campaign.

The seven-time champion, who has only missed out on the play-offs once, still hasn't won a regular night this campaign and is yet to book his place in the final stage.

Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price are already safely through, so there remains just one place at the O2 in London up for grabs.

With two regular nights left, the Dutchman really needs to find that afterburner switch starting in the Granite City.

Van Gerwen can make a massive step towards the play-off by dispatching his closest rival Nathan Aspinall in the Night 15 quarter-final. The Asp has lost six of his last seven across all events but is just one point behind the Dutchman in the table.

However, Aspinall has the hex over Van Gerwen at the moment with three wins out of the last four against the Dutchman in the Premier League this campaign.

The duo could face each other again in the final round in Sheffield in a week's time as the draw is made on table positions.

With the Premier League two big guns facing each other in the quarter-finals, this opens up the other side of the draw and it's time to back MvG to win his first night and collect those vital points.

Sticking with this side of the draw, the charming grin of Stephen Bunting has caught our attention.

After a truly awful first half of the campaign, Bunting has sparked into life in recent weeks winning a Night and picking up three wins from seven. Doesn't sound that great but compared to the early zero points weeks it's an impressive turnaround.

Bunting averaged 97.46 and 95.70 against Chris Dobey and Luke Humphries in Leeds last Thursday, and we can see him bustling past Price, who is through to the play-offs and can take his foot off the gas.

To wrap it up, Luke Humphries, who avearged 100.96 to win in Leeds last week, can get the better of the other side of the draw.

He's been more consistent than Luke Littler in recent weeks and is too strong for Rob Cross and Chris Dobey. Chalk the World Number One as a beaten finalist.
