Premier League Darts heads to Liverpool for Night 12 as Michael van Gerwen sets sights on his first weekly win after Easter heroics.

The Dutchman was in scintillating form over the holidays as he bagged a nine-dart finish on route to claiming the German Grand Prix title.

This was his first title of the season and the first sign that the Green Machine could finally be hitting some form.

Van Gerwen has been far from his best throughout this Premier League campaign, which is a fact underlined by his failure win a single Night.

Thursday’s trip to Liverpool offers the Dutchman a great opportunity to change that, as he looks to squeeze back into the top four of the overall standings.

His task is not easy considering he opens Night 12 with a showdown against world champion Luke Littler.

The teenager has hit his own little slump, failing to win any of the last three Premier League events. Then again, calling it a slump may be harsh considering his age.

Van Gerwen has already beaten Littler this season, and we’re backing a repeat in Liverpool. In fact, we’re backing MVG to go all the way at an extraordinary price of 12/1.

Elsewhere, last week’s winner Chris Dobey will be looking to go back-to-back when he arrives on Merseyside.

Hollywood beat Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall and Stephen Bunting on his way to a second weekly win of the season. He only lost seven legs in the process and averaged over 100 in all three matches.

Dobey takes on Gerwyn Price on Thursday, marking their fourth meeting since the Geordie knocked out the Welshman in the quarter-final of the world championship.

Bearing Dobey’s strong recent form, we’re backing him to get one over Price at around the 11/10 mark.

Our third and final tip comes from that same side of the bracket as Bunting goes head-to-head with Rob Cross.

Voltage has won his last eight meetings with Bunting, but he arrives in Liverpool with some shocking recent results under his belt.

Cross has won just two matches since the start of April, bowing out in the first round of four tournaments this month.

Bunting, meanwhile, will have the home fans behind him at the M&S Bank Arena. The Bullet is in solid form having reached last week’s Premier League final in Rotterdam. He also won a recent European Tour event at the start of the month.

With that in mind, we’re adding Bunting to our bet slip at around the 4/5 mark.

Premier League Darts Night 12 tips

Van Gerwen to win Night 12 – 12/1

Bunting to beat Cross – 4/5

Dobey to beat Price – 11/10

Good luck, and please gamble responsibly.
