Johnny Fisher v David Allen 2: Free boxing tips, expert predictions, undercard and where to watch

The Copper Box Arena in London will play host to a huge British heavyweight grudge match this Saturday night as Johnny Fisher takes on David Allen.
Back in December, the boxing world was left outraged after Fisher edged out Allen during their much-anticipated bout on the undercard of Tyson Fury v Oleksandr Usyk 2.
An exhausted, battered and bruised Fisher had his arm raised after two of the three judges scored the fight 95-94 in his favour. Allen will get his shot at redemption this weekend as the heavyweight veteran heads to hostile territory.
The Copper Box, which has been coined by Fisher as the Copper Bosh, is expected to be full of Romford Bull fans as the 26-year-old attempts to keep his perfect 13-0 record intact.
Fisher delivered a brutal first round knockout of Alen Babic on his last outing at the venue, though a repeat of that looks unlikely as he takes on a tricky customer in Allen.
Here, we take a closer look at everything you need to know ahead of fight night.

“I think Dave is a strong man, a tough man. But the only think weak about him is his mind. His mind can let him down. It’s how his mind reacts to it, because it is going to be 99% aggressive boisterous EastEnders, Essex and a few Northerners coming down to support Johnny.”

“They’ve both got excellent teams behind them, which is a very good thing. But with Dave Allen being close to me, I’m rooting for Dave. He goes back with me years, from being a young lad.
“It’s going to be an exciting fight, you can’t pick a winner because when you’re in 50/50 fights, it can go anywhere.”

“I think Johnny Fisher will be a lot better this time round. I think he locked himself away, had a great training camp, he’s going to be cheered on by the Bosh army, he’ll be better.
“But I also think Dave will be better. He’s relaxed, he’s confident now, he’s trained hard. It’s a really good fight, I can see it going either way. If it goes beyond five rounds, I think it will be better than the first fight.”

“This fight, I believe, maybe even better than their first one, its a great fight for British boxing.
“The last fight was a close all-action contest in which I thought that David Allen won by one point because of the knockdown, I think that Allen’s extra experience will get him a more decisive victory this time in a good entertaining domestic dust-up.”
Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing promotor)

“A good honest heavyweight dust-up. Value for money, blood, sweat and tears. And drama at the Copper Box.”
Matt Marsh (Former British champion)

“I like both boxers, but, on paper, I think Johnny Fisher should win, however, after their last fight, I have a feeling Dave Allen could win.”
Seb Sternik (Planet Sport)
“This is a very intriguing clash for a number of reasons. Firstly, the fight is taking place at the Copper Box – a small intimate venue which could hand Fisher a small advantage should his crowd create an intimidating atmosphere.
“On the other hand, you’ve got the experience of Allen. The Doncaster boxer had his best rounds in the second half of the first fight and there’s a strong possibility he could simply pick up from where he left off.
“Fisher has a lot of power and cannot be underestimated – especially on home turf. But on this occasion, we’re siding with the experience of Allen.”

Johnny Fisher v Dave Allen undercard
Kieron Conway will be looking to add the British title to his collection when he takes on Gerome Warburton in a tasty middleweight contest.
Conway is on a four-fight win streak since suffering a unanimous decision defeat to Austin Williams back in late 2022.
Conway was last in action back in November when a split decision went in his favour against Ryan Kelly in Birmingham.
Warburton is unbeaten in eight fights since suffering his second career defeat back in 2021. The Bread Maker has won seven of his last eight, with last year’s split decision draw against Kelly being his only blemish in recent times.
The winner of this fight is likely to take on the winner of George Liddard against Aaron Sutton. The middleweights meet on the undercard, with Liddard looking to preserve his perfect professional record.
Elsewhere, Jimmy Sains will be looking to claim the vacant Southern Area title when he takes on Gideon Onyenani.
There’s also a promising women’s bout on the card as Shannon Ryan meets Fara El Bousairi in a super-flyweight bout.
