French Open: Day three predictions, tips and bet builder

Novak Djokovic, of Serbia, hits a return during a training session
French Open action continues on Tuesday with a number of top seeds taking centre stage in Paris.
Novak Djokovic is setting his sights on a record-extending 25th grand slam but getting there may prove a lot easier said than done.
The Serb kicks off his Roland Garros campaign against a young American challenger, which should make for a tasty clash on the main court.
Jack Draper, Britian’s best hope at this year’s event, also storms into action as he takes on Italy’s Mattia Bellucci.
Over in the women’s draw, Jessica Peluga will be looking to shake off her poor form on European clay. Elsewhere, Coco Gauff returns to action after back-to-back final disappointments.
Here, we take a closer look at the action and pick out some of the best bets along the way.
French Open day three – 11/1 bet builder
Jack Draper to beat Mattia Bellucci 3-1 – 7/2
Novak Djokovic to beat Mackenzie McDonald 3-1 – 4/1
Good luck and please gamble responsibly.
(All odds are correct at time of article publication)
Mattia Bellucci v Jack Draper
Clay has normally posed a serious challenge for Draper in previous years, but things are beginning to change.
The Brit has so far enjoyed a strong season on the surface, coming within one set of winning the Madrid Masters and boasting a 9-3 record.
Draper is expected to reach the second week of the French Open for the first time in his career and we’re backing him to get the job done against Mattia Bellucci.
TIP: Jack Draper to win 3-1 – 7/2
Mackenzie McDonald v Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic arrives in Paris on the back of his 100th tour-level career title having defeated Hubert Hurkacz to claim the Geneva Open.
The gap in experience between the Serb and Mackenzie McDonald is huge. While Djokovic has 99 French Open match wins and three titles to his name, his American opponent hasn’t even played 99 matches on clay across all levels.
With that in mind, we’re backing the 24-time grand slam winner to seal his spot in the second round without too many dramas.
TIP: Novak Djokovic to win 3-1 – 4/1
Anca Alexia Todoni v Jessica Pegula
Is there a difference between American clay courts and European ones? Jessica Pegula’s form would suggest so.
The third seed stormed to victory over in Charleston two months ago, but has since won just three matches across four European clay tournaments.
Despite this, she should have too much quality for Anca Alexia Todoni who very recently suffered a knee injury at the Italian Open.
TIP: Jessica Pegula to win – 3/20
Olivia Gadecki v Coco Gauff
You have to feel for Coco Gauff. The American reached the finals in Madrid and Rome but failed to convert those into a trophy.
Nevertheless, the 21-year-old arrives in Paris with high expectations as she kicks off her French Open campaign against an opponent who has only picked up one win from 11 matches in 2025.
TIP: Coco Gauff to win 2-0 – 1/5
