French Open: Day six predictions, tips and bet builder

Carlos Alcaraz at the French Open
French Open action is heating up as we look ahead to day six and a selection of tasty third round matches in Paris.
Carlos Alcaraz is the evening attraction in the French capital as the Spaniard takes on Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur.
The 22-year-old has dropped just one set in his opening two matches and is looking strong as the tournament approaches its second week.
Aryna Sabalenka is also looking strong as the women’s favourite prepares to meet Olga Danilovic in her third-round match.
Her biggest title threat, Iga Swiatek, is also in action as the four-time champion squares off with Jaqueline Cristian.
The Pole appears to have shaken off her poor run of form and is once again looking like a clay powerhouse.
The game of the day, however, will be a potentially tasty affair between Elena Rybakina and Jelena Ostapenko.
A similar first name is not the only thing in common between these two. Both women are in red-hot form and both will be confident of securing their spot in the second week of the slam.
Here, we take a closer look at the action on day six of the French Open, picking out best bets in the process.
Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Alcaraz to beat Dzumhur 3-0 – 11/50
Sabalenka to beat Danilovic 2-1 – 3/1
Swiatek to beat Cristian 2-0 – 3/25
Rybakina v Ostapenko over 2.5 sets – 13/10
Damir Dzumhur v Carlos Alcaraz
Ticket holders for the evening session on Philippe-Chatrier are in for another good show as tournament favourite Alcaraz goes head-to-head with the not so popular Damir Dzumhur.
The Bosnian player had the entire crowd against him in the previous round as he battled past young Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
Despite getting the victory, Dzumhur is likely to be exhausted after what proved to be a gruelling four-setter.
Alcaraz, who is often accused of letting his foot off the gas against lower-ranked opponents, has kept those issues at bay during these early rounds in Paris.
The Spaniard is expected to get the job done here and we are backing him to produce a clean sweep.
TIP: Alcaraz to win 3-0 – 11/50
Aryna Sabalenka v Olga Danilovic
Sabalenka is living up to her billing as tournament favourite in the women’s draw having progressed to the third round at Roland Garros for the sixth year running.
The Belarusian has been a force of nature, reaching 13 tournament finals and winning seven trophies since the start of 2024.
Sabalenka boasts a 14-4 record in third round of grand slams and we’re backing the Belarusian to improve that record.
TIP: Sabalenka to win 2-1 – 3/1
Jaqueline Cristian v Iga Swiatek
Four-time champion Swiatek entered this year’s Roland Garros on the back of some dodgy form, but that has certainly not followed her into Paris.
The Pole has hardly put a foot wrong at the French Open, with her muscle memory kicking her back into gear.
Jaqueline Cristian, meanwhile, has reached the third round of a grand slam for the second time in her career. However, with Swiatek boasting a 51-2 grand slam record against players outside of the top 50, we’re not banking on an upset.
TIP: Swiatek to win 2-0 – 3/25
Elena Rybankina v Jelena Ostapenko
One of the most exciting games of the day is taking place on court Suzanne-Lenglen as Rybakina and Ostapenko go head-to-head.
Rybakina entered this tournament on the back of a title-win in Strasbourg. The Kazakh wasn’t really tested in her first two matches, but that’s expected to change.
Ostapenko is enjoying her best clay-court summer since 2017 – the year she actually won Roland Garros. Just like her opponent, Ostapenko won a tournament leading up to Paris and is in red-hot form.
Tough one to call, which is why we’re backing over 2.5 sets.
