2025 PDC World Masters tips
Stephen Bunting to reach the final
Bunting really is more than just a flamboyant entrance isn’t he! The last three tournaments have seen the Bullet reach the world championship semi-final, win the Bahrain Darts Masters and finish runner-up at the Dutch Darts Masters.
With the man exuding form, it’s hard to go against him. However, he will have to navigate a relatively tough draw if he is to reach the business end of the World Masters.
His first opponent is William Borland who many will remember for hitting a nine-darter at the world championships a few years back.
Should he prevail, the defending champion could take on the likes of Peter Wright, Michael Smith and Rob Cross in the next couple of rounds.
Another man worth keeping an eye on is Michael van Gerwen – the most successful player in World Masters history.
The Dutchman has won this tournament five times and almost made it six last year when he reached the final.
Mighty Mike is on a second-round collision course with long-time rival Gary Anderson. Should those two meet, expect fireworks.
The biggest threat on Van Gerwen’s side of the draw is the current world champion, Luke Littler.
The youngster kicks off his campaign against qualifier Andy Baetens and could meet either James Wade or Mike De Decker in the following round.
Littler was narrowly beaten by Bunting at the Dutch Darts Masters semi-final last time out. We expect the teenager to go a couple of steps further on this occasion and lift the World Masters trophy.
