Carlos Alcaraz kisses the trophy after winning the Wimbledon men's singles final

Get your strawberries and cream ready – Wimbledon is back for the 2025 edition as the world’s best tennis players congregate in London.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner delivered one of the greatest matches of all time at the French Open, with the Spaniard going on to claim his second successive Roland Garros crown.

Alcaraz now turns his attention to Wimbledon as he looks to triumph at the All England Club for the third year in a row – something that only four other men have achieved in the open era.

Realistically speaking, there are very few people that can actually stop the Spaniard from dominating Wimbledon for another year – one of them is his new great rival Sinner, and the other is himself.

Sinner will be kicking himself after wasting three match points against Alcaraz in that historic French Open final – points that ultimately cost him a maiden Roland Garros success.

The Italian will be looking for retribution at Wimbledon, but considering this is his worst grand slam statistically, it may be worth backing another name further down the list.

Novak Djokovic, who has won seven Wimbledon titles, is unquestionably one of the top contenders for the title as the 38-year-old eyes a record-equalling 25th grand slam.

From a British perspective, Jack Draper is likely to get a lot of attention. The 23-year-old reached the semi-final at Queen’s and will be looking to make a serious dent in his Wimbledon campaign.

Wimbledon - Men’s odds

Carlos Alcaraz – 5/4

Jannik Sinner – 13/8

Over in the women’s draw, Aryna Sabalenka tops the betting market as she looks to win her maiden Wimbledon crown.

The Belarusian star reached two grand slam finals this year but came up short in both, with Madison Keys edging her in Australia and Coco Gauff doing the same at last month’s French Open.

Sabalenka has never reached the final at Wimbledon, but she does have a couple semi-final appearances under her belt from 2021 and 2023.

Elena Rybakina is priced as second-favourite despite failing to get past the quarter-final stage in her two warm-up tournament appearances.

The 2022 Wimbledon champion came up short at Queen’s Club and the German Open, but as last year’s semi-finalist, the 26-year-old cannot be underestimated.

French Open champion Coco Gauff is expected to be a popular selection as she looks to progress past the fourth round at Wimbledon for the first time in her career.

The American made her first big breakthrough at the All England Club back in 2019 when she defeated Venus Williams and reached the fourth round at the age of 15.

Another top contender for the title is Iga Swiatek. The Pole entered last month’s French Open on the back of some poor form but still reached the semi-final.

Swiatek’s best effort at Wimbledon is a quarter-final run back in 2023 – something she will be hoping to better on this occasion.

Aryna Sabalenka – 11/4

Elena Rybakina – 5/1

Coco Gauff – 6/1

Iga Swiatek – 8/1
