2025 European Darts Open: Prediction, tips, prize money and where to watch

Nathan Aspinall in action at the Premier League Darts
Following a dramatic conclusion to the Premier League Darts season, the action moved to Germany for the latest event on the PDC European Tour – the 2025 European Darts Open.
A total of 48 players will be chasing the £30,000 winner’s prize in Leverkusen, including Premier League’s Stephen Bunting, Chris Dobey and Nathan Aspinall.
You could argue those are the three biggest names in the event, with the likes of Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen opting to miss out.
With the field relatively open, it should make for an exciting event as players jostle for prize money and order of merit positions.
One of the key men to watch in Germany is Jonny Clayton who claimed the Dutch Darts Championship just a week ago.
The Welshman took out a number of big names - including Luke Humphries in the semi-final – before seeing off Niko Springer to win the title.
Gary Anderson is another man worth keeping an eye on. The Scot claimed the European Darts Grand Prix at the start of May, thrashing Andrew Gilding 8-0 in the final.
A lot of the money will undoubtedly go on the three Premier League stars who are taking part in this weekend’s event.
Bunting may have finished bottom of the table, but the Bullet had some memorable moments and remains a dangerous opponent for anyone in Leverkusen.
The same goes for Aspinall who stepped up his game in the final weeks of the Premier League season.
The Asp ran Humphries close in Thursday’s semi-final at the O2 and will take a lot of confidence from his recent performances.
