Oisin Murphy keeps the ride and the duo should have more to offer in this company, although the likes of Mesaafi, Shelbourne and South Shore can also boast of promising last-time-out outings that could make them a threat in such a competitive sprint.
Gaining the most traction in the Tipstrr camp, however, is a young filly who might just be flying under the bookies’ radar on her seasonal debut.
Clive Cox’s Acer enjoyed a promising juvenile 2023 campaign that saw her fail to make the frame just once in six outings, having kicked off her career with a couple of decent third places in largish fields at this venue early last summer.
Suggested best bet: Acer each-way in the 19:20 at Windsor
She was last seen coming runner-up twice in the space of one September week at Bath, the second of which would have made the bookies happy as she went off as the 1/3 favourite.
Returning now from a seven-month break, she will have something to find to finish ahead of the favourite here, but the booking of the capable Richard Kingscote looks an astute move to bring out the potential of this promising filly, and she could well force her way into the each-way mix on the run-in
