Kempton best bet (2030): Heartrate building towards strong all-weather bid

Kempton Park
From Kempton’s bumper all-weather card, Steve Jones, who runs his CD Systems service on Tipstrr, has saved his solitary Daily Bargain for a progressive type in the very last race on Wednesday night.

Showing significant potential for further improvement as an all-weather sprinter, Heartrate has had just five outings on synthetic surfaces to date, from which he has returned figures of 23303, including 233 from his three six-furlong runs, in which he beat 29 of the 34 sprinters he faced.
On that evidence, Heartrate should be very dangerous in a six-furlong polytrack handicap off a mark of 71 ,
This race is weaker than either of his two most recent tapeta handicaps, in which he finished third of 11 in a higher-graded Class 4 at Wolverhampton, while the latest saw him finish third of 12 in a 0-75 at Southwell.

This race is to be run on a surface that is likely to suit him even better, and he is now three pounds lower than for his Class four run last October.
Heartrate was twice stepped up to seven furlongs, signifying that he has more than enough stamina for six, and that being the case, this circuit will suit because it has a long, flat, galloping run-in and the surface is currently riding standard-slow.
His latest third-placed finish at Southwell has since been franked by the form of the runner-up, who ran over that very same trip a week later to win comfortably in an 11-runner 0-77.
All of that adds up to Heartrate looking a very attractive prospect with the significant presence of Hollie Doyle in the saddle.
Suggested bet: Heartrate each-way in the 20:30 at Kempton

Of the others, Airshow is one of only two previous course-distance winners in this 11-strong field of older sprint handicappers, having done so three times in all, and he comes here in good shape following his third of 11 in a 0-77 handicap over this trip at Southwell last month.
That was his first all-weather run since last June, when he was runner-up of 12 over the longer seven-furlong trip at this venue. Now starting off an unchanged mark since Southwell, this prolific nine-year-old could easily out-run his price.
