Ascot each-way tips: Bug Boy and Way Of Life capable of defying outsider prices

One of the most open looking races on Friday’s card at Ascot has brought Tipstrr’s each-way pundits out in force, with a couple of tastily-priced outsiders catching their collective eye.

16:10 Ascot: Slingsby Gin Handicap (1 mile 4 furlongs)
Top of the betting is the well-fancied Alhambra Palace, who has improved on each outing this season, culminating in a runner-up spot at Epsom two weeks ago, and he looks nicely treated at the bottom of the weights.
However, equally well treated and apparently carrying more value at a tasty each-way price is Tony Newcombe's Bug Boy, who has also shown improving form lately.

After finishing a creditable fourth of 14 on Kempton's all-weather track in May, he confirmed his progress by leaving the closest of eight rivals two lengths behind him over this trip at Epsom 23 days ago.
His subsequent four-pound hike in the ratings has been more than offset by the claim of in-form jockey Connor Planas, who remains in profit after bringing 71 of 177 rides this season into the each-way frame, including 27 wins.

If you can find a bookie offering an extra place for this 10-runner handicap, then he must merit each-way consideration.

Suggested bet: Bug Boy each-way in the 16:10 at Ascot

The same could be said for the top-rated and top-weighted Way Of Life, who is no stranger to the winner's enclosure, having strung five straight victories together either side of the 2021-22 winter break.
While failing to reach those heights in his subsequent five outings last term, he announced his return from an 11-month break with a very respectable third of 10 over 10 furlongs at Windsor 11 days ago.

If that pipe-opener over a shorter trip was to blow away a few cobwebs, then this five-year-old gelding should be primed for this race over his preferred mile-and-a-half-trip (all of those five wins were over this distance)

Outsider punt: Way Of Life each-way in the 16:10 at Ascot
