A competitive three-year-old sprint. The winning WOODHAY WONDER (2) made it five from seven in her career with a narrow success at Newmarket chasing the pace before fending off those closing in gritty fashion. That performance deserves to be upgraded and she is selected to score again. Haydock novice winner ELMONJED (8) was a touch disappointing when sixth on handicap debut here last month. Could easily bounce back now returning to 6f in first-time cheekpieces. JAMES'S DELIGHT (1) won a Newmarket (6f) handicap before struggling attempting the Listed Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury. Cannot be ruled out. POCKLINGTON (3) finished fifth in the aforementioned Newbury event.
