MY CARTOUCHE (5) again failed to feature last start, finishing fifth and beaten 7 lengths over 1m at Goulburn. Will find this a little tougher but should be in the finish. KOWLOON MAGNATE (4) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7¼f at Muswellbrook, beaten only half a length. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. WHAT A GENT (7) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 2. 75 lengths, over 7¼f at Muswellbrook. Another bold showing is expected. KUMBAYA (3) is a maiden who has filled a minor placing two times in six starts. Failed to threaten when fresh from a lay-off last start, beaten 13 lengths into ninth over 6¾f at this track. Should do much better.
