MONTPELLIER (3) is a four-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Annabel & Rob Archibald stable. Finished off last campaign with a tenth at York seven months ago. Ran sixth in a trial at Rosehill over 5f32yards and won on debut to launch last prep. Can kick off with a win. DIDDLE DUMPLING (7) was only a neck from the winner in third last time out in a small field over 6¼f at Canterbury on soft going. Will be fitter for that run, looks a winning chance. SLINKY (13) is backing up after a strong third in better grade at Warwick Farm just seven days ago. Nice run last time and a bold showing is likely. TRUE TO FORM (4) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a neck over 6¼f at Canterbury. Open to plenty of improvement and is worth following up.
