SUBARCTIC (8) is a distance specialist who has been in great form with two placings in succession, most recently when beaten 5. 5 lengths into third over 1m4f at Rosehill when he was in the firing line all the way. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. BACIO DEL MIST (3) will find this a little easier after missing the frame in town last time, finishing seventh over 1m2f at Randwick. Has a strong record at this distance with a win and three minor placings from four starts and is one of the prime contenders. CORMAC T (5) finished fourth last start over 1m2f at Rosehill after racing on the pace for much of the way. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
