MANNERHEIM (1) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 1m at Hawkesbury, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. MONTGOMERY (4) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when sixth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 1m at Hawkesbury. Has further improvement to come and looks a clear threat. TOKYO RUN (6) hit the frame two starts ago at Hawkesbury but ran below par last time when 14th and beaten 13 lengths over 1m2f at Rosehill. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. THREW (7) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by 0.9 lengths over 1m2 1/2f at Orange. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role again.
