PURE RAIN (14) returns after a lay-off of six months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 5f at Mornington. Lines up. For the first time for trainer peter snowden. Has ability and should be right in the finish. HAMPTON PALACE (5) raced just off the lead before letting down nicely and scoring a 1.3 lengths win over this journey at Hamilton last time. Sure to go well again. COVER STAR (11) started at 4/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing seventh and beaten 3 lengths at Sale over 5f. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. IT'S A YES (12) broke his maiden last start over 5½f at Ararat, scoring by 4.5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
