SOUTH SEA (9) ran on strongly only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Toowoomba. Should tighten right up following that outing. Placed to advantage and can run another bold race. AMENOPHIS (6) was right in contention when they turned for home and kept finding to finish second last start over 7f at Dalby, beaten a nose. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot take this out. SHOUTS ALL DAY (11) scored a barnstorming win last start over 7f at Dalby, coming from the tail to get up by 0.8 lengths. Comes here in the right frame of mind so a top-three finish is on the cards. POWERFUL EAGLE (4) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by a nose over 7f at Dalby last start. Still to win at the trip but goes well, placing at all four starts and is among the main hopes.
