Has a perfect second up record from two starts including last prep when successful over 7½f at Newcastle. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. DASHING RUPERT (7) is fitter for two runs back from a lay-off, progressing nicely last time to finish second, beaten 1. 5 lengths, at Randwick Kensington over 7f. Will drift back but wind up late. Should be competitive. DUSTY BAY (9) booted up from the inside draw to race on the speed only to be claimed late and finish 1. 2 lengths away in sixth when resuming last start over 6½f at this track. Can figure in the finish.
