ICY POLE (7) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Sandown-Lakeside but raced below expectations last time over 7f at Sandown-Hillside, finishing tenth and beaten 5.5 lengths. This is a nice drop in grade so she is set to turn things around. SASQUALAH (2) did little and finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in tenth over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than her fifth at Swan Hill the run before. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. PRINCE SONIC (3) last appeared when he finished ninth over 7f at Mt Gambier on May 9. Can make his presence felt. MISS TORONADO (10) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 5 lengths away in sixth over 5f at Ballarat on February 23. Fitter for recent trials. Has won when fresh from a lay-off in the past. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. In the mix.
