SMOKIN' ROHIE (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 7 lengths when sixth over 1m2 1/4f at Murtoa three-and-a-half weeks ago. Meets some better types this time but a big run will not surprise. COLD TRAIN (2) was beaten 3.5 lengths into third at this track two starts ago then finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last time at Hamilton. Great chance to get off the mark this time. BERNIE BEEL (1) finished 6 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1m4f at Geelong, an improvement on his sixth at Hamilton the run before. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to turn the recent form around. HASTA LA TRUCE (4) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1 1/2f at Mildura, beaten 8 lengths into eighth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
