MACY MOON (7) finished 1.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 7½f at Ballarat after being prominent at the turn two weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. DARK HARMONY (3) did little and finished 13 lengths from the winner in 14th over 1m at Hamilton last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Coleraine the run before. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is one of the main contenders. VITRUVIUS (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Hamilton, beaten 3 lengths into fifth. Finds an easier assignment and can turn things around. MARK OF THE MAN (10) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time out, leading for home before finding a couple better over 1m1/2f at this track. Strong top-three prospect.
