PODARGONI (6) turned in a strong performance when resuming when in the money at Wodonga but disappointed last time when ninth, beaten 8 lengths, at Flemington over 6f. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. YAM (5) showed little early speed and was always well back last start when tenth, beaten 7 lengths, over this journey at Flemington. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Will enjoy a drop in class so he can find the winners' list. LENSMAN (9) finished third last start over 7f at Cranbourne, beaten a long neck. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. ALTRUIST (10) was beaten 13 lengths into seventh over 7f at Warrnambool last time out. Capable of featuring prominently.
