BEFORE THE WAR (13) turned in a strong run two starts ago at Narrandera then failed to back it up over 5½f at Wangaratta last time, beaten 7 lengths into eighth. Coming back in trip suits so is expected to be in the finish. BLACK PANTHER (8) is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with Simon Miller who was on board last start. Serious contender again with the confidence high. LITTLE MISS GRACE (10) finds it hard to win with three victories from 30 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 5f190yards at Albury, beaten 3 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run. BRIMIN (11) accounted for a maiden field over 4½f at Albury last start, finishing 0.9 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with Amy O'driscoll who was on board last start. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated.
