SEMPER FORTIS (4) disappointed last time when ninth over 1m2 3/4f at Canterbury after a close second at Canterbury the run prior. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so worth another chance. ALCHIAN (1) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by a nose over 1m2 1/2f at Ballarat Synthetic. Perfectly placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. KNIGHTS ARMOUR (2) was an effortless winner last time over 1m2 3/4f at Goulburn, scoring by 6 lengths. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One to consider. SHAFTY (5) was well beaten last time and finished at the tail at Corowa on soft going but carries less weight. Ms Molly Bourke is back on and has a solid record on the six-year-old, including three wins. Can play a role in the finish.
