PONY SOPRANO (1) now wears first time cheekpieces and tongue strap having disappointed at Newcastle in January. Wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him get back to winning ways. NICKELFORCE (4) scored at Wincanton in November and looked in need of the run at Newton Abbot back in April. Should take a sizable step forward fitness wise and looks a major player. SKI LODGE (7) not disgraced in a better race than this at Haydock Park four weeks ago and the drop in trip should be in his advantage. GRAND CLERMONT (6) makes his stable debut after a long lay-off in France. Market will be the best guide to his chances.
