CURL GIRL (5) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time. FIRESIDE KITTEN (3) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by 0.3 lengths over 1m at this track (Synthetic) last start. Good record at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from seven starts and is a leading contender. CANDLE (7) is a four-year-old filly who is having her first run for the Cherie Devaux yard. Hasn't raced since finishing fifth at Aqueduct (Turf) four months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks nicely placed. Expected to be in the finish. TITUBA (6) booted up from the inside draw to lead last start and was there until straightening when beaten 3 lengths into fourth over 1m at this track (Synthetic). Deserves respect.
