NORDIC REBEL (1) finished seventh over 1m at Turffontein Standside at his most recent appearance on December 17. One of the genuine hopes in the race. WALLED GARDEN (2) is back from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 5¾f contest at Turffontein Standside by 1.1 lengths. Big run is on the cards. WILLOW EXPRESS (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7¼f at this track, beaten 1.4 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. SAGE KING (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.4 lengths from the winner in second over 1m at this track. Well placed to play a part again.
