CHIEF RENEGADE (2) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0. 8 lengths from the winner in second over 6½f at Zia Park after being in the firing line on the corner. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. TOWHEE (1) is back from a lay-off of 11 weeks. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 6f at Emerald Downs (Dirt). Has found a suitable race. REACH HIGHER (3) finished fourth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 5½f at Grants Pass, beaten only a nose after being in contention on the bend. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. PONDEROSA (5) raced below his best last time when sixth over 6½f at The Albuquerque Downs Racetrack & Casino (Dirt), beaten 21 lengths. Well placed and should be thereabouts.
