SMALL TOWN HUSSLER (3) missed the frame last time when fifth at this track. Prior to that had been in the money on three consecutive occasions. Reunites with Ryan Wiggins who has been in the money two times when aboard. Likely to feature. MO SPIRIT (5) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound third over 6f at Bowen. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of a big run. PRINCE PIER (1) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 6f at this track. Will be winding up late. ALVIN (2) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 6 lengths, after being prominent at the corner at his latest appearance over 7¾f at Mackay. Appeals as a top-four contender.
