SUPER FREEZE (2) was on the speed from the rails draw when resuming last start and battled on well to finish third over 5f at this track. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. GABBY'S READY (8) showed little early speed and was always well back last start when sixth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over this journey at this track. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. THE KAMIKAZE (6) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 2.75 lengths over 4¾f at Cairns. Looks well placed and he cannot be discounted. RED SHIRAZ (11) is back at the races for the first time since October 5. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Gatton. Now under the care of new trainer Gareth Smith. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
