ULTIMATE (11) stalked the pace when resuming at this track and trip last start then worked to the line steadily to finish second. Winning rider Graham Kliese sticks. Fitter and looks sure to play a big role. MISHANI MAVERICK (10) raced below his best last time when sixth over 4½f at Innisfail, beaten 7 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. JOE'S GIGGLE (8) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6¼f at Cairns, beaten 2.75 lengths. Will strip fitter this time. Suitably placed so anticipating another strong effort.
