Ran fifth in a trial at Warwick over 4f recently. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. SPRUCE (8) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish seventh at the latest run over 6f at Doomben. One of the leading chances. TWOPENCE (7) returns after 11 weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a sixth over 4f65yards at Gatton. Commenced last prep with a minor placing at this track over 4f76yards. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Warwick trial. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
