SPOOKY SPIRIT (6) was an effortless winner last time over 6f at this track, scoring by 4.5 lengths. Has a very good record here with three wins from five starts. Should run well. PREPOTENT (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 6¾f at Ipswich, beaten 2 lengths into fourth. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. START STRUTTING (8) finished 4 lengths behind the winner in eighth over 7f at Eagle Farm last start after lifting strongly to score two runs back. Backmarker who keeps coming. One of the contenders. FUN SPONGE (7) fought on for second last start over 6f at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths to add to some fine recent form. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
