WALTER THE MASON (2) returns after a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Looking to emulate his win at Sunland Park at the beginning of last prep. One of the genuine hopes in the race. JAIME'S COMMITMENT (6) is back after a break of nine weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 4½f at Turf Paradise. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Should be hard to stop. RUGGS (1) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fourth over 6f at this track (Dirt) after being in the firing line on the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot return to winning ways. DOUBLE RIDE (4) comes here off a last-start fourth, beaten 7 lengths, over 5½f at this track. Is very effective at this distance with two wins from 10 runs. One of the key chances.
