MARKING CANYON (3) went forward last start over 6½f in stakes class at Sunray Park (Dirt) and held on well for second, beaten 1. 75 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so he is sure to be there at the business end. LEAVE THEM BEHIND (5) scored last start at Sunray Park (Dirt) over this distance after he was in the firing line on the turn. Has never been out of the money in seven starts at this trip, including four wins. Should be prominent from the outset. Will give a great sight. SHORT ROUND BOUND (7) is a distance specialist who finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 6 lengths when sixth over 6f at this track a week ago. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. THREE MARTINIS (1) lifted strongly to salute by 1. 5 lengths three runs back at Sunland Park (Dirt) before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has a high cruising speed. Deserves respect on best figures.
