MAN OF MISCHIEF (3) showed good early pace last time and battled on gamely to finish just 0. 3 lengths from the winner in second over 6½f at Lone Star Park (Dirt). Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he has the ability to mix it with them. APURO (7) was never in contention when resuming last start over 4½f at Sunray Park (Dirt), finishing sixth and beaten 6 lengths. Top strike rate at the journey with two wins and four placings from six starts and shapes as one to consider. SMOOTHWHSKYGOINDWN (4) was in great form at the end of the last campaign with back-to-back wins, the latest over 6½f at Sunland Park three months ago. Should park just off the speed. Must be respected.
