EVERETT (5) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fifth beaten 3 lengths over 1m at Ararat. Goes well at this trip, recording three minor placings and is expected to be in the finish. HERE COMES RUBY (1) looks to kick off this prep the way she ended the last eight months ago when she scored over 1m2f at Mornington. Looks ready to run a big race following five recent trials. This sets up nicely. CUMBRIAN QUEEN (7) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time over 1m at Wangaratta. Hard to leave out.
