BRITISH GEM (5) hit the frame two starts ago at Wyong but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 7½f at Newcastle. Ideally placed and is sure to play a major role. FASHION SPREE (9) was never in contention last time over 7½f at Port Macquarie when she finished fourth, beaten 6 lengths. This offers her a great chance of breaking through. WOOTTON PLEASE (14) led into the straight last start over 7½f at Port Macquarie in the wet but could not sustain the pressure and finished sixth. Finds a suitable race and will be in this for a long way. EXTRA SPECIAL (3) was beaten for speed on debut last start then worked home honestly to finish fourth over 6½f at Newcastle. Open to plenty of improvement.
