BRAZEN BRANDO (7) is poised to win after placing at his last three outings, most recently when second after he gave away a big start over 5f at Port Macquarie. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. THE PICCOLINO (8) finds it hard to win with two victories from 21 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 5½f at Port Macquarie, beaten 5 lengths. Nicely placed to play a major role. SILENT SERENADE (6) is back from a break of three-and-a-half months. Put together back-to-back wins before going for a lay-off, the most recent at Tamworth over 7f. Still to win at the trip but goes well, placing at all four starts and shapes as one to consider. ZOOM OUTCOME (1) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4½f at Newcastle, beaten 5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
