CHISTOTA (2) accounted for a maiden field over 7½f at Port Macquarie last start, finishing a nose ahead of the nearest rival. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Progressing well so worth following up. DAMASCUS GATE (5) turned in a strong run two starts ago at this track then failed to back it up over 1m1f at Port Macquarie last time, beaten 1. 75 lengths into fifth. Coming back in trip suits so can do much better. MELATEN (6) stuck on well last start to finish third over 7f at Coffs Harbour after showing good early speed. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again.
