LORD FINLAND (3) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish half a length away in second over 1m at Gunnedah. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. STRATUM CHIEF (1) showed good early dash and led for much of the way before weakening out of it when 12 lengths away in 13th over 7f at this track. Should be tough to rein in. CROWN'M (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7½f at Newcastle, beaten 2.75 lengths into ninth. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. WILDERNESS STAR (5) ran a better race last start, finishing 2.25 lengths away in sixth over 1m at Grafton. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
