SPLASH OF STEEL (6) was well fancied last time and finished a close second over 6f87yards at Muswellbrook to remain a maiden. Will drift back but wind up late. Best form puts him right in this. MR BOHEMIAN (14) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 6½f at Scone. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be tough to hold out. POSHY'S GIRL (13) has been about the money at each run this prep, the latest offering a second over 6¼f at Taree. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Should be involved in the finish. NORTHERN EAGLE (4) ran a better race last start, finishing 2. 5 lengths away in fourth over 6f at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest.
